The moody, intimate and electronic installment of the Cinematic Piano series – Daniel Bloom’s music will appear at ICE Kraków.

The composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer and vocalist Daniel Bloom (artistic nickname of Daniel Borcuch) will present subtle soundtracks based on electronics and piano, which he has created for the last several years for the films of his brother – Jacek Borcuch. Thanks to the experimental approach to combining the image with music, the family tandem introduced a breath of freshness to Polish cinema. It’s no secret that Leszek Możdżer, who appears in both the role of co-composer and instrumentalist, also took part in the creation of some of Daniel Bloom’s soundtracks. Bloom is also known to observers of the Polish entertainment scene – as a producer he collaborated with with Anita Lipnicka, Tomasz Makowiecki, Gaba Kulka and Mela Koteluk.

Especially for the audience of the Bloom festival, he will develop his most famous compositions: the award-winning, nostalgic soundtrack to Tulips , full of ambient calm, but also songs based on strong guitar riffs for Everything I Love and the music of the elegant piano that comes to the fore from the film Non- volatile. Bloom will also recall the sounds of the Sweet End of the Day – a multi-colored soundtrack, subtly subtle, sometimes jazzing, suddenly offering an alternative and electronic sound that knocks the viewer out of his reverie.

At FMF, Bloom will present himself in a natural environment – the composer himself will focus on the parts of electronic instruments, and on the ICE Kraków stage he will be accompanied by soloists selected by him. A special guest will appear at the piano, who will perform at the concert on the personal invitation of the hero of the evening.
