It is now the turn of the Italian cinema masters when the Vantaa Pops Orchestra performs cinematic music composed by Nino Rota and Ennio Morricone.

Legendary Soundtracks will be heard at the concert. from Godfather, Cinema Paradiso, Amarcord, Once Upon A Time In The West, La Dolce Vita, Malena, The Mission and The Good, Bad and Ugly.

The concert will be conducted by Erkki Lasonpalo.

During his lifetime, Nino Rota (1911-1979) composed more than 100 films for music and became known for his films, including those of Federico Fellini and Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather. However, Rota also composed many other music, such as opera and ballet.

“When I sit down at the piano making, I tend to be happy; but – an eternal problem – how can we be happy in the midst of the misfortune of others? I do my best to offer everyone a moment of happiness. That’s the crux of my music, ”Rat says.

Ennio Morricone (b. 1928) is one of the most notable film composers alive. The composer, who has composed music for more than 500 films and has been awarded numerous times, is especially known for the soundtracks of Italian music directors directed by Sergio Leone in the 1960s, but his repertoire is much broader and more diverse.

“He’s not just a great movie composer, he’s a great composer.” That’s how Giuseppe Tornatore, an Italian film director and screenwriter, whose most well-known films are Cinema Paradiso and Malèna, is also involved in the Movie House fireworks.
